Richmond International Airport ARFF Training Pad

Webb Development was the Prime Contractor for this project that addresses new EPA regulations for the discharge of AFFF (a firefighting chemical used in airports). The project consisted of 2000 CY of excavation, 1800 tons of stone placement, and 1200 tons of asphalt paving. Webb Development installed a 10,000 gallon underground chemical storage tank to contain the AFFF discharged during annual training for the Airport Rescue and Firefighting Department. Webb Development value engineered this project to complete it under budget despite differing stie conditions and added scope items.
